The Mini Maker Faire is a showcase of DIY talents, hosted at the MoPOP. It is held every year and people participate enthusiastically. This was an entry into a contest held by the MoPOP. Their constraints were to follow the brand’s color palette and to show the spirit of the event. In my entry, the story is of people working together to create this event by hand. The dual effect of this illustration also makes it clear where the event is happening. There is a sense of community and dynamic movement that this event is all about. While I wasn’t chosen I really enjoyed this process and I never fail to hear pleasing gasps when someone sees it for the first time.
Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and hand drawing
